"Udo" Atlantic Storm, 23rd May 2011 PDF Print E-mail

On the 23rd of May, 2011, a rapidly deepening low pressure system known as 'Udo' battered large parts of southern and central Scotland, with savage winds. Wind speeds over 100MPH were observed in exposed locations.

The WeatherEvents.net mobile weather lab ventured to an exposed coastal location in Ayrshire, to record weather data. The entire journey was webcast live onto the WeatherEvents.net live-streaming page. The lab provided an un-interrupted video stream, for over 8 hours on the day.

The following video is a compliation of the day's events, captured both by the windscreen-mounted camera, and also the mast-mounted weathercam.
